Privacy Policy for Unattached
This page explains what information Unattached may store, how the app is designed to work in v1, and what choices you have around your data.
Last updated: June 3, 2026
What Unattached stores on your device
Unattached is designed to work without account creation in v1. To support your experience, the app may store information locally on your device, including:
- onboarding answers
- no-contact progress logs
- liked reminders or affirmations
- selected reminder categories and reminder mixes
- healing letters and journal-style writing
- SOS writing or release notes
- notification preferences
Account creation and cloud storage
Unattached v1 does not require account creation. At this stage, your use of the app is intended to stay local to your device unless future services are enabled.
Future third-party services
If analytics, purchases, subscription management, or crash reporting are enabled in a future version, limited technical or purchase-related data may be processed by those service providers. If subscriptions are enabled, Unattached may use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status, and purchases may be handled through the Apple App Store and StoreKit.
Private writing and sensitive content
Unattached is intended to hold personal emotional writing such as healing letters, reminders, release notes, and progress reflections. This content is intended to stay private and should not be shared unless required by services you intentionally enable.
Your choices
- You can manage or disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
- Because v1 is local-first, uninstalling the app removes local app data from your device.
- You can contact support with privacy questions at side2.gigin@gmail.com.
Important disclaimer
Unattached is an emotional support and self-reflection app. It is not therapy, medical advice, crisis support, or a replacement for care from a licensed mental health or medical professional.
If you feel unsafe, at risk, or unable to keep yourself safe, contact local emergency services or a trusted professional right away.
